Early Years Teaching Assistant (Reception) – Watford

Position Overview

Are you passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a difference in the lives of young learners? We are looking for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Watford. This role focuses on supporting children in the Reception year, fostering their development through engaging and creative learning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development through tailored activities.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with the teaching team and parents.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to meet individual needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in an Early Years setting is desirable.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential.
• A caring and patient approach with a passion for working with young children.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
